South Africa win IBD World Championships

The South African contingent at the 2024 IBD World Championships continued their fine record in the event claiming overall gold.

The highly successful event played out to a thrilling conclusion at Delville Bowling Club in Germiston.

South Africa ended with five gold medals thanks to stunning performance from Jakes Jacobs and Nico Vermeulen, Michelle Eshun, Princess Schroeder, Nicholas Dedekind and Deon van der Vyver.

Those gold medals allowed South Africa to once again come out on top as the leading country at the event for the third successive edition.

This follows team victories in 2011 and 2015.
