The sport in South Africa complies to international standards and Bowls South Africa is the governing body. Newcomers to the sport are encouraged and guided by qualified coaches and introduced to the club system.

Bowls South Africa Open 2025

Entry forms for the Bowls SA Open Championships can be downloaded from the Bowls SA website through the “Events” icon on the home page.

Men’s Entry: 17 May - 25 May 2025

Women’s Entry: 3 May 2025 – 11 May 2025

Kindly note that the Pairs section will be played on the first Saturday and Sunday, followed by Singles Sectional play on Monday, followed by Fours Section Play-Offs on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The closing date for entries is 14 February 2025 (Ladies), 28 February 2025 (Men)

Please Note:

The Women’s Open will be played in Ekuruhuleni (HQ: Delville BC, Sub HQ: Edenvale BC)
The Men’s Open will be played in the Eastern Province area. (HQ: Walmer BC, Sub HQ: Westview BC)
Each entry form submitted must be accompanied by proof of payment
